Since the Legacy Scholarship was established in 2022, Phi Chapter has awarded a total of $10,100 in scholarships. Take a look at the recipients from 2022 to 2024:
2022 Legacy Scholars
Thanks to the financial donations from H. Juan Sempertegui (Fall 1995) and H. Steven Ventura (Fall 1996), three $500 book scholarships totaling $1,500 were awarded in 2022. The scholarships were presented during Phi Chapter's 27th Annual Bienvenida, an event hosted to welcome all new Latino students to the UMD campus.
2023 Legacy Scholars
In the Fall of 2023, the Legacy Scholarship expanded scholarship eligibility to students at Montgomery Community College and Prince George's Community College, in addition to students at the University of Maryland, College Park. Seven $300 scholarships totaling $2,100 were awarded during Phi Chapter's 28th Annual Bienvenida, with Maryland State Delegate Joseline Peña-Melnyk in attendance to provide key remarks.

2024 Legacy Scholars
In Fall 2024, Phi Chapter awarded seven $500 Legacy Scholarships totaling $3,500 during our 29th Annual Bienvenida to students from the University of Maryland, Montgomery College, and—thanks to a generous donation from Alpha Delta Chapter Founding Hermano Jorge Campos—a student from George Mason University.​
